IN SCHOOL DRAMA PROGRAMMES
In-School Drama Programme:
an introduction to drama and acting. We offer students in Grade
1 to Year 8 the opportunity to learn more about drama and acting.
The advantages to the
students are:
- The opportunity to express themselves creatively, learn and
HAVE FUN!
- Core theatre, social and personal skills are listed on the
homepage of this site.
- In addition to these, students will have the opportunity to
extend their current learning in Performing Arts.
- Lunchtimes, especially in winter terms, can sometimes leave
students with little to do - what a great alternative to current
lunchtime programmes.
The advantages to the
school are:
- There is no cost to the school.
- No additional workload for school staff at lunchtimes—in fact,
we reduce workloads by reducing the number of students in the
playground!
- It is increasingly important for children to be involved in
the Arts and we aim to provide a no-hassle way for schools to
provide children with additional drama skills.
- Our programme promotes essential social and life skills.
The advantages to the
parents are:
- Reduced fees for their child to participate in lunchtime lessons.
- Students will be in a safe, familiar environment.
- Parents avoid the inconvenience of taking them to after school
lessons.
- Children will be provided with quality drama tuition by a
highly qualified and experienced teacher.
HOW IT WORKS:
The school
simply books a block of time that suits them.
We would come to the school over the lunch hour and tutor a
group of between 10-30 students. Students from Grade 1 through to
Year 8 only are eligible.
All the school need do is provide a
space that is suitable to the size of the group and allow us to
contact parents through the school newsletter/notices.
