9am-12noon: June 29 - July 3 2009.
See our Holiday Programme page for more details.

CORE SKILLS:

Throughout all our courses we aim to cover a variety of basic performance skills. These include:
  • VOICE: projection, intonation, intention, clarity
  • MOVEMENT: expression, dance, spatial & body awareness, rhythm, mime
  • IMPROVISATION: theatre games, listening, focus, creative use of imagination
  • CHARACTERISATION: role playing, interaction, how to develop characters
  • STAGE CRAFT: basic stage etiquette & techniques used in performance.

We treat each child as an individual.

As well as the obvious benefits of developing a child's acting abilities, classes will provide students with opportunities to develop personal, physical and social skills. These include:

SELF-ESTEEM, TEAM WORK, SELF-EXPRESSION, COMMUNICATION & CONVERSATION SKILLS, INDEPENDENCE, POISE, FITNESS, SELF-CONFIDENCE, MOTIVATION ENJOYMENT.

We encourage all students to participate to the best of their ability.

Wild is NOT about moulding students into a prescribed programme. While our experience allows us to provide thorough depth, we are able to be flexible and react to the needs of the students as individuals and as a whole group. Our class sizes are small enough to allow the tutor to get to know the students and their abilities, concerns & aims. At the same time, all activities are very group oriented - letting students maximise their social skills and learn that "there is no "i" in team".
